Story
What happens when you treat the utterly absurd with dead-serious cinematic flair? For Simpli TV's "Genre Clash" campaign, the answer meant ditching loud, try-hard slapstick for a clever, slow-burn visual joke.
The concept hooks the audience by setting up classic, recognizable TV tropes and then quietly derailing them with bizarre, out-of-place elements. A tense football free-kick suddenly features a goalkeeper catching the ball with a flawless ballet pirouette. A tough, idyllic Alpine dairymaid casually shoots a massive UFO out of the sky just to get some peace and quiet, and a glossy reality-TV beach date goes south because the mysterious hunk is actually a knight in full plate armor, desperately trying to shove a shrimp through his visor.
